Rules and Regulations

Rules and Regulations (Version 1.0 - published on 01.05.2023)

Conditions of Entry

1. All players submitting entries for this tournament will be deemed to have read, understood, and accepted the conditions under which the tournament events are to be conducted.

​

2. The tournament is open for the general public and organized by BundB Sports, which is formed by a group of Badminton Enthusiasts.

​

3. Competitors/Participants play at their own risk. Each participant declare he/she is covered under health insurance (Krankenversicherung) and liability insurance (Haftplichtversicherung)

​

4. The tournament will be conducted under the Laws of Badminton, General Competition Regulations & Player Code of Conduct as adopted by the Badminton World Federation (BWF), except where modified by these conditions.

​

5. The Chief Referee and Jury (both to be announced on the morning of the tournament) shall have the entire control and management of the tournament and will adjudicate on all matters relating to these conditions and adopt BWF Laws, Regulations & Codes of Conduct.

6. The Tournament Jury reserves the right to reject any entry and may cancel an event if insufficient entries are received.

​

7. Data protection: By registering for the tournament, each participant agrees that the media will be informed about the event. The information may also be published on the Internet. Personal data of participants - namely family name, first name, age group, club affiliation, and placement - may be mentioned. Entrants consent to the collection of their details, images, and videos by the tournament organizers and understand that such information may be passed onto and used by BundB Sports to publish on the internet and Social Media. The publication of event-related photographs, pictures, and video is included and is approved by the participant also during the period of the tournament with the submission of the entry form. Entrants acknowledge their right to access and correct such information. And each participant agrees to receive updates about the tournament via email and or messages.

8. Players (Participants) are invited to register via a publicly shared link at https://forms.gle/WwWdoEfhSMhb725E6

9. The organizers do not provide any shuttlecocks. Each participant must bring their own HBV Approved feather shuttlecocks (example: Victor Service - SPEED 77, Yonex Aerosensa 30 Speed 77). Discrepancy of shuttles between teams are resolved with the Chief Jury.​

 

10. Tournament Dates and Fees:

Players registering understand the categories, dates, and associated entry fees as follows:

Men's Doubles

This category has an entry fee of 12€ for each participant

The tournament date is 01.07.2023 

Women's Doubles

This category has an entry fee of 12€ for each participant

The tournament date is 01.07.2023

Mixed Doubles

This category has an entry fee of 12€ for each participant

The tournament date is 08.07.2023 

Men's Singles

This category has an entry fee of 12€ for each participant

The tournament date is 08.07.2023

Women's Singles

This category has an entry fee of 12€ for each participant

The tournament date is 08.07.2023 ​​

 

11. Playing Categories and games

The tournament is divided into 3  levels of playing

Group A includes players from:

Bundesliga (BL)

Verbandsligen (VL)

Bezirksliga Oberliga (BZ OL)

Bezirksliga A (BZ A)

Group B includes players from:

Bezirksliga B (BZ B)

Bezirksliga C (BZ C)

Group C (Hobby Level) includes:

Players from none of the above categories

Each participant must declare their level, which is categorized as Above.  The highest playing level (ranking) from your team determines the category in which your team will play.

12. For the Singles category (Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles), players of the same level compete against each other.

 

13. For the rest of the categories (Doubles), players can pair up from different levels. However, the highest level between both partners is taken into consideration while choosing the category.

​

14. A player can participate in any of the above-mentioned categories. A player can team up with only one partner in the same category.

​

15. For the doubles category, the player who registers is responsible to take the consent of his partner before he/she shares the name of his/her partner. The partner player agrees to data protection governed by this tournament mentioned above.

​

16. Players who register for the doubles category take the responsibility to keep their partner updated about the event, the timing of the event, location, rules, etc, and the Player takes full responsibility to bring their partner in time for the matches.

17. Players who register for the doubles category agree to pay for both himself/herself and his/her partner

​

18. Just registering does not allow a player the right to participate in the tournament. Registration is considered as the Players intention to participate in the tournament. Each team should receive an email/message from the organizers, requesting them to make the payment. Upon successful entry fee payment made within the specified duration will enable the players to participate in the tournament.

​

19. The registered players agree to pay the entry fee either via PayPal or Bank Transfer within 5 days after receiving the email/message from the Tournament Organizers (from email: BundBSports(at)gmail.com or WhatsApp message from +4915259823593). Failing to pay within 5 days, the request expires, automatically and organizers have the right to extend the invitation to other players on the waiting list. An optional reminder could be sent to the registered player. In case the Player makes the payment on the last day, it takes 2-3 business days to appear in the bank account, and in such case, the Player agrees to notify the organizers (by responding to the email or message) and shows the proof of transfer to avoid the withdrawal of the invitation

20. Cancellation and refund: Any cancellation after the payment is made will not result in a refund. Players are requested to notify the organizers (via email or WhatsApp) in case they are not able to participate in the tournament to avoid inconvenience to other participants. If the organizers cancel the event due to low participation, a full refund is made.

​

21. Draws for the Day 1 of the tournament (01.07.2023) are published on 28.06.2023 (3 days prior to the tournament) and the draws for the Day 2 of the tournament (08.07.2023) are published on 05.06.2023.

 

22. Playing the Tournament

  1. Players are required to report to the tournament office at the venue 15 minutes before the scheduled match. The match will start at the scheduled time if any player fails to appear will be given a walk-over.

  2. Players will be given a maximum of 10 minutes rest before starting another match.

  3. If needed, umpires/referees will be appointed by the tournament chief referee.

  4. Inquiries regarding starting times of matches are the responsibility of entrants.

  5. The Referee has the power to disqualify any player not available to play when called to do so. Any alterations made to the competition schedule due to unforeseen circumstances will be announced by the Referee.

  6. Players will be given a maximum of 5 minutes for warmup-time before the match starts.

  7. Players use their own shuttle with the provided specification for the match.

  8. The tournament Jury has the right to reject admission to any person or group of persons for the smooth and safe conduct of the whole event.

 

23. Dress Regulations.

  1. Acceptable sporting clothing suitable for Badminton/Tennis must always be worn whilst competing

  2. Non-marking shoes must be worn to enter the Badminton hall. The shoes must be acceptable for Badminton/Tennis types of sports.

  3. Acceptability of dress shall be at the discretion of the Chief Referee.

  4. Advertising on clothing is acceptable subject to BWF Rules.

 

24. Tournament Participants & Spectator Behavior Policy

BundB Sports is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and positive atmosphere in which players, officials, members, and families can thrive. Accordingly, all participants, parents, or guardians of junior players are committed to the following behaviors:

  1. Respect the referee’s decisions – don’t complain or argue about decisions during or after a game.

  2. Unsportsmanlike language, harassment, or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.

  3. Encourage players to play by the rules and to respect opposition players and officials.

  4. Condemn all violent or illegal acts, whether they are by players, coaches, officials, parents, or spectators.

  5. Understand that sport is part of a total life experience, and the benefits of involvement go far beyond the final score of a game.

  6. Participate in positive cheering that encourages the players in the team you are supporting; do not engage in any cheering that taunts or intimidates opponents, their fans, or officials.

  7. Remember that children participate for their own enjoyment, not yours!

  8. At all times, follow the directions of the tournament duty officials/volunteers

  9. No food is allowed inside the play area. Help us to keep the play area clean for the safety of the players
